In the current era of globalization, it is essential to maintain cultural diversity in order to work across various communities. The reflective journal will highlight upon the various aspects of cross cultural communication, which is essential in order to deal with global business across various nations. I belong from the Sydney region of Australia and have been able to learn most of the languages related to the aboriginal communities in the nation. During the time of my visit in the Asian region, I have been able to learn the language of Hindi and Chinese, which has helped me, enhance my understanding related to cultural diversity and language. The intercultural experience that I have in the Asian countries, enhanced my level of awareness related to cultural diversity. I have been able to distinguish the difference between the cultural aspects of Australian and Asian countries. In future, I would like to visit the Nations from the Europe and American region in order to beta enhance my understanding related to cultural diversity. This will help me to perform under different types of cultural environment of the future. The intercultural experience that I have gained over this period of time will help me to understand the importance of cultural knowledge that is needed in order to enha nce the understandings of globalization. Understanding the importance of definition of culture Crawford et al., (2017), have defined culture as the element which is required to unite a group of people having common lifestyle and practices. The complexity of diversity in the current day makes it essential for people to understand the importance of cultural diversity and properly define the same in order to deal with the effect of globalization. There are various components of cultural diversity which includes Geographic and demographic elements. I think it is important to understand the Geographic and demographic perspective of a society in order to better understand the importance of their culture. According to the paper of Puente (2014), it is essential to ensure cultural representatives across different communities, who will be in charge of defining the concepts related to each and every culture within the globe. I think it is effective to differentiate the culture across various layouts, which will be helpful for the cultural experts to understand the importance of each and every community within the globe. This is also essential in order to understand the exact value and importance of each cultural perspective. The politics of a region also has a major influence in order to define the cultural elements. It can be said in the context that, the instability of a nation has special effect on the cultural changes that are implemented by the society. Hence, I believe from this perspective that most of the cultural diverse Nations have a stable political background, which is essential in the perspective of improving the business conditions of the nation and thereby encourage the path of globalization. The politicians also play an important part in order to improve upon the cultural diversity of a nation. I believe this can be obtained by raising the level of cultural awareness among the elite political Society of a nation. It is also important to understand the different levels within a culture, which is essential in cases related to implementing the same across different organizations. The cultural diversity can thereby play a significant role in the economic development of a nation. There is also the perspective of corporate culture, which is essential in the matter related to improving upon the business condition of a nation. I think the effectiveness and success of a business in a current era of globalization is entirely dependent upon the policies that are implemented to deal with cultural management. Hence, I believe it is important to define the concept of culture that can vary depending upon the situation and perspective of an organization of a nation. Issues in the Cross Cultural Communication Initially I would like to highlight up on the issues that I came to know about cross cultural communication. It is important to note in the context that the issues related to cross cultural communication is one of the major resistances for Global Business. There are several cases that I have encountered in the program, from where I have been able to gain knowledge about the issues and challenges encountered by multinational corporations while they are implementing policies of Global Business. The difference in the level of understanding people of various countries about the matters related to intercultural diversity is essential to deal with the most of the cultural issues. The lack of ability among people across various culture to deal with the change is that are associated with cultural diversity is one of the major issues that are encountered in the given context. There are also the issues related to the lack of awareness among the people across the diverse groups of nation. I do strongly believe about the fact that most of the cultural concerns related to communication are one of the major elements for globalization that can be implemented in the business. I have also agreed upon the fact that high level of performance can be achieved with the help of effective cultural diversity among the workers within an organization that is one of the essential components of Global Business. With the increasing popularity of social media and Internet technology, it is now possible for people across various parts of the world to easily connect and share their thoughts about various aspects (Liu et al., 2014). As I have been a regular user of all types of popular social media platforms, I have been able to understand the importance of this technology in perspective related to improving my cultural awareness. Nevertheless, I also believe that it is important to improve upon this Internet technology in order to ensure that digital communication and be used to enhance cultural awareness among people across the globe. The democracy of a region has also is strong influence of on the local culture. Many nations across the globe have witnessed vast demographic changes due to various factors that include immigration from foreign Nations. This can also occur due to the fact that the modern society is encountering different type of behavioral changes. Being a self aware individual, it is possible for me to respect my own cultural value that is one of the essential components of cultural diversity. The cultural value of the people in Australia is depended upon the components of the modern forms of lifestyle that is needed to implement the positive sides of the globalization. The degree course has also helped me to expand upon my cultural knowledge. This has helped me to understand various types of skills related to verbal and nonverbal mode of communication, which I can use to easily interact with people of foreign culture. Hence, I can strongly focus upon the fact that intercultural communication is one of the essential requirements of enhancing the skills related to cultural diversity. The fundamental for the intercultural communication is filled up on the belief that people across diverse culture can co-operate and coordinate with each other in order to improve upon their existing conditions.
